Aevum Limited Steve was appointed Managing Director on 30 September 2008 (effective from 13 October). He has 19 years experience in property and development, having held senior positions in Stockland, most recently as CEO Commercial and Industrial, and previously at Westpac Property Management and Schroders Australia Property Management. As well as a Bachelor of Business (Land Economy), Steve holds a Graduate Diploma (Applied Finance & Investments), Securities Institute of Australia and is a Registered Real Estate Valuer.
Peter Homan BCom, MBA, CA, MAICD Chief Finance Officer and Company Secretary
Peter's role is focused on ensuring the effective control and management of the company's financial resources and business operations including overview of management reporting, budgets and forecasts, and integration of acquired businesses.
Paul Burkett Dip Bus HO General Manager Operations
Paul was appointed General Manager Operations in March 2007. Paul is responsible for operational management of all Aevum's retirement villages and aged care facilities. Paul has over 20 years experience in the operations and management of the hospitality industry including the last 13 years as general manager of a variety of four and five star hotels throughout the country. In addition to this he was the Chairman if the A.H.A for NSW accommodation division.
Jon Spencer Senior Development Manager
Jon joined Aevum in June 2007 as Senior Development Manager and is responsible for Aevum's property development activities. Previous positions include management within Stockland's NSW Residential Development Division and Mirvac both in NSW and WA.
Jon is an associate member of the Australian Property Institute and is also a registered valuer.
Karen Mattingley Head of Sales & Marketing
Karen is responsible for implementing and overseeing the sales and marketing strategies for the entire Aevum Living Retirement and Aged Care portfolio. Karen is a licensed Real Estate Agent and Strata Management Agent and has over 18 years' relevant experience in the residential property industry.
Prior to joining Aevum, Karen had experience working for a number of medium to large residential property development and retirement living companies such as Sakkara Living, AVJennings and the Defence Housing Authority in senior sales & marketing roles.
Nicole Quince BA (Psyc), LLB, Grad Cert (App Fin)
Nicole was appointed to the newly created role of Manager - People Strategies in April 2008 and is responsible for setting the overall human resources strategy and framework for the company. She has worked in different human resources roles in a variety of industries including hospitality, retail, manufacturing and finance. Her most recent role prior to joining Aevum was Head of Human Resources at Investec Bank (Australia) Limited. Her extensive human resources experience along with her psychology degree, law and applied finance qualifications enable her to develop and implement appropriate people strategies in all areas of the business.

Tim is responsible for driving acquisition and development opportunities as well as providing financial and strategic support on internal business enhancement projects. Tim has previously worked as a consultant in both aged care and financial markets for over 15 years.
Gavin Jackson Property Manager
Gavin is responsible for the preparation and co-ordination of strategic maintenance plans and the management of capital upgrade programs across all sites. Gavin has over 20 years' experience in the construction industry as well as facilities management and programmed maintenance services organisations.

Andrew Koch Manager, Lourdes Retirement Village, Killara
Andrew is responsible for the management of Lourdes Retirement Village, Killara. Andrew brings over 20 years experience in the health and media, 12 years as a registered nurse, and more recently 8 years managing and running newspapers to his current position.
Deborah Drummond Manager, Maybrook Village, Cromer
Deborah is responsible for the operations and management of Maybrook Village at Cromer on Sydney's Northern Beaches. Deb joined Aevum in 2003 in administration at Lourdes Aged Care facility in Killara.
Previous experience includes office management, sales and customer service.
Robert Waddell JP Manager, The Willows Village, Winston Hills
Robert was appointed as Manager of the Willows Village in August 2007, and is responsible for the on-going management of operations, administration, service and amenity for the facility.
Robert brings a diverse mixture of quality management experience to include extensive community service throughout Local Government networks, State level volunteer organisation management, hospitality and sporting industry operations, and other large commercial ventures. With an accomplished marketing and public relations background his focus is clearly on resident service, satisfaction and improvement of amenity.
Elizabeth Jones Manager, Cardinal Freeman Village, Ashfield & Bexley Gardens, Bexley North
Elizabeth is a Registered Nurse with many years experience in Aged Care and Village Management. She is currently responsible for the management of both of these sister villages.
Prior to joining Aevum Elizabeth gained valuable experience from her involvement in many aspects of the construction of two high rise Aged Care Villages. Her roles included the commissioning of the buildings, village set up, staff employment, resident interviews right through to move in, and subsequently Village management.
Karen Hart Manager, Castle Ridge Resort, Castle Hill
Karen is responsible for the operations, management and sales of the Village’s 113 independent living units. She has previous valuable experience in the residential real estate industry, focusing on sales and marketing, along with involvement in strata property management. This has provided her with an extensive solid background for her current position.
Carolyn Taylor Manager, Bellevue Gardens Retirement Village, Port Macqaurie
Carolyn is responsible for the operation and management of Bellevue Gardens facilities and staff. Carolyn's experience in the industry is a result of 18 years employment in Aged Care Administration and Retirement Village Management, prior to which she worked in real estate and television advertising.
John O'Rafferty Manager, Camden View Village, Laurieton
John's role as Manager, Sales and Operations at one of Aevum's most recent acquisitions Camden View Village Laurieton stems from his association with the Village since inception. From a "Greenfield" project to completion John has had an active role in Camden View Village's development & success. His Real Estate & developer background ensure both management and people skills. He is a hands on person whose primary concern is the well being of his residents.

Steve is responsible for all operational aspects of the retirement village. His previous management experience has been in the areas of importing and banking, as owner operator of his own photographic outlet and general manager of funeral services.

Jeff is responsible for both the operation and sales of Parklands Villages' independent living units and serviced apartments. Having spent the last 20 years in Hospitality as both a manager and a TAFE teacher, Jeff's focus is on resident satisfaction.

Betty's role is the operational management and sales for the Queens Lake Village. With a strong 10 year history of working in the aged care industry, in turns as a carer, an AIN (Assistant in Nursing) and finally as Manager of Retirement accommodation, Betty is well placed to offer her residents a caring environment.
Maria Collins Manager, Lincoln Gardens, Port Macquarie
Maria was appointed Manager of Lincoln Gardens in January 2008, following five years in administration at Bellevue Gardens, also in Port Macquarie. Marie has a total of thirteen years experience in the aged care and retirement village industry, and enjoys working with the elderly. Prior to that she spent a number of years in sales and administration in the computer and newspaper industries.

Glen's primary function as Manager of The Village – Swansea is the smooth running of this facility. He has previous experience in Real Estate Sales and Small Business Management and more than 20 years experience in the Banking Industry.

Tina was appointed as Village Manager in 2007, and is responsible for the overall operations, maintenance and smooth running of the village. Tina’s extensive real estate background – in property management, office administration and as a business owner – has prepared her well for this role. Her considerable experience in assisting people and customer focused communication spans 30 years.

Rhonda has been the managed The Cove for several years, and is responsible for the operations and management of the village. She brings with her over 30 years of experience in payroll, human resources & accounts – not to mention her other profession as an acrobat! Rhonda’s ambition is to ensure that The Cove remains a village with contented and happy residents.
Liz Tickner Manager, Waratah Highlands, Bargo & Macquarie Grove, Tahmoor
Liz Tickner manages our two Southern Highlands properties, Waratah Highlands at Bargo and Macquarie Grove at Tahmoor.
Liz enjoys the retirement industry and her background has prepared her well for the role of Village Manager. Liz has extensive experience in the hospitality and tourism industries of almost twenty years as well as spending sometime in print media. Her roles within these industries were predominately, operations, sales & marketing and management.
Brian Bartley Manager, Halls Head Gardens, Murray River Village, River Pines Village and River Parks Village, WA
Brian is responsible for the operational management and sales at his villages. In addition to his 11 year experience as a retirement village manager, he is also a Commissioner for Declarations, Licensed Real Estate Agent, Senior First Aider and has completed the Strata Managers course. Brian was previously self-employed and served 9 years in the Royal Australian Navy.

Wendy's knowledge of the regions retirement village industry is a result of 12 years experience in sales and marketing in this area. Her previous experience has been in real estate, village management, and working with local developers in the construction of retirement villages.

Jill Fellowes Dip Ed, MBA Sales & Marketing Manager, Sydney
Jill is responsible for the sales and marketing effort in the Sydney and Southern Highlands areas. Jill has 20 years experience in sales and marketing roles in the financial services and real estate industries.
She has spent the last five years working with residential development companies and most recently in the sales and marketing of retirement living accommodation.

Jo is responsible for the sales and marketing of Cardinal Freeman Village, including the new Victoria Views development project within the Village, as well as Bexley Gardens. She boasts 20 years of experience in clinical care, management, sales and marketing of the health care industry, including an extensive knowledge of both retirement and aged care living. In addition, Jo is currently undertaking a Masters of Applied Management (Health).
