In Relation to the Recruitment Process

We honour without reservation our obligation to respect and protect the privacy of the personal information of individuals with whom we deal.

The information we collect
Whenever it is reasonable and practicable to do so, we only collect information about you directly from you.

We only collect personal information about you which is reasonably necessary to consider applications and approaches you make to us and maintain your details.

We do not generally collect sensitive information about you unless required by applicable laws or rules.

How that information is used
We only use and disclose personal information about you for the purpose for which it was disclosed to us or related purposes which would reasonably be expected without your permission.

For example, we may from time to time use your personal information to inform you of jobs which we expect may be of interest to you. However, we do respect your right to ask us not to do this.

We do not sell personal information to other organizations to allow them to do this.

We may disclose personal information to service providers who provide services in connection with the recruitment process or we may provide information about you to a recruitment agency with your permission.

Keeping information accurate and up to date
We take all reasonable steps to ensure that all information we hold is as accurate as is possible. You are able to contact us at any time and ask for its correction if you feel the information we have about you is inaccurate or incomplete.

Where the personal information we collect is no longer required, we delete the information.

How you can access your information
You can contact us to request access to your information. In normal circumstances we will give you full access to your information. However, there may be some legal or administrative reasons to deny access. If access is denied, we will provide you with the reason why.

By providing personal details, submitting an application, or registering interest for employment with Aevum Limited (‘Aevum’), you will supply Aevum with personal information, including application data and contact details. (‘your information’), Please note that, once entered, personal details will be recorded by Aevum and may be used by Aevum to contact you.

Once submitted, Aevum may use your information for the following purposes:

  • To assess and administer your application for employment in accordance with Aevum’s recruitment and administrative practices (including conducting reference checks);
  • To communicate with you in relation to your application;
  • To comply with any legal or regulatory obligations; and
  • To monitor and review Aevum’s recruitment practices.

You acknowledge and agree that, in carrying out the above activities, your information can be controlled and processed by any of Aevum’s offices, affiliates, agents and contractors. Please do not submit your personal information if you do not want your information to be dealt with in the ways described in this notice.

If your application is unsuccessful, Aevum may retain your information on file and may contact you if a suitable employment opportunity arises. Please contact Aevum if you do not wish Aevum to retain your information on file. If you application is successful, Aevum will retain your information as part of you employment records.

You are not required by law to submit your information, but Aevum may not be able to accept or process your application for employment if the information is not supplied. You may request access to your information (and correction of incorrect information) at any time by contacting Aevum at cv@aevum.com.au
